Located in Orlando Florida, Universal’s Island of Adventure opened in 1999 and is one of the Universal Studios expansions, made up of eight themed islands. Each island is themed to a certain television show or movie.

Parking

Parking for Universal’s Island of Adventure is $22 for regular parking, $35 for prime parking, which is located closer to the park.

Port of Entry is the main entrance to Universal’s Island of Adventure. Port of Entry is home to restaurants, many shops, and has no rides. Jurassic Park is themed to the movies of Jurassic Park, featuring rides and exhibits one might find at the real Jurassic Park. Marvel Super Hero Island is themed to the superheroes found in Marvel comic book series. Seuss Landing revolves all around the books of Dr. Seuss, many of the attractions here are themed to younger children.

Skull Island is home to only one attraction, and that attraction is all about King Kong. Themed to ancient legends and myths, is the Lost Continent, divided into two subsections, a lost city, and an Arabian marketplace. If you are looking to step inside a world of magic, the themed island for you is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, with multiple Harry Potter themed attractions, and restaurants, you cannot go wrong visiting this magical place. Toon Lagoon is themed around characters such as Popeye the Sailor, Olive Oyl, and Dudley Do-Right.

Rides and Attractions

There are eighteen rides and attractions to enjoy at Universal’s Island of Adventure. Blast off 185 feet in the sky on Doctor Doom’s Fearfall. Check out the multiple Harry Potter themed attractions. Go to the mysterious island and adventure of King Kong at Skull Island: Reign of Kong. Get a thrill on The Incredible Hulk Coaster.

Entertainment and Shows

There are eight entertainment options and five shows at Universal’s Island of Adventure. Experience a music and light extravaganza at The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle. Listen to the music and sounds of the Hogwarts Frog Choir, one student from each house singing and their frogs croaking. Experience an up-close meeting with Blue in Raptor Encounter.
